Fact sheet of Požeminiai Darbai AB

Požeminiai Darbai AB is one of the best-known companies in Lithuania which for 32 years has been involved in the construction of water and sewerage systems, constructions and closures of dumping grounds, development of heat supply infrastructures, implementation of large-scale projects and search for optimal technical solutions.

One of the largest projects carried out by Požeminiai Darbai AB is Extension of the Kaunas Wastewater Treatment Plant for Biological Treatment and Network Extensions. The Kaunas wastewater treatment plant is the most powerful treatment plant in the Baltic States.

For its impeccably accomplished works and achieved results the company has been awarded numerous national quality prizes. In 2007, 2008 and 2009 it was nominated as a Successfully Operating Enterprise and received the gold and silver medals for the most complex projects.

While striving for the achievement of the quality policy and strategic goals and following its principles of practice, Požeminiai Darbai AB implemented an integrated system for quality, environmental protection and employee safety and health management. The management system conforms to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000, ISO14001:2005, and to the standards of BSI-OHSAS 18001:2007.

Požeminiai Darbai AB is one of the first construction organisations in Lithuania which has integrated an employee safety and health protection system, which conforms to the requirements of the standard LST 1977:2005 (BSI-OHSAS 18001:1999), into its environmental protection and quality system.
